Disappearing Act
(Inspired by the Exploratorium's new "Seeing" exhibit)

Run the "Disappearing Act" program on your PC and watch an object disappear from sight, even though it remains in full view!

*[A "File Download" dialog box will appear, asking you if
you want to "Run the program from its current location" or
"Save the program to disk." You may select either option.]

Pressing any key toggles movement on/off. Pressing the "Esc" key terminates the program.

* * *   NOTICE   * * *

We now designate all Thinkers Club members who are on the "Previous Winners List" (PWL) to be "Advanced Puzzle Solvers" for as long as they are on that list. Whenever feasible, a slightly different, more difficult version of the official puzzles will be given, and this will be the version which APS, and only APS, must solve to be counted. Everything else is the same.

As always, non-members may participate in these official puzzles. If a non-member is declared the winner, he or she will thereby become a member and be offered a membership number and certificate. If a member is declared the winner, he or she will receive his/her choice of either $15 or a large pizza @ Domino’s Pizza.

The winner will be determined by adding up (a) the order in which the answer was received on Mr. Logic’s voice mail and (b) his/her place if any on the ‘Previous Winners List’ (= "handicap"). The lowest combined score wins.
