Choice of Puzzle Questions (For the Week of September 21 - September 28)

Puzzle #1:


Draw a 3 x 3 grid and insert a different letter in each square so
as to form three horizontal and three vertical well-known, common
three-letter words.  No proper nouns; no acronyms.   No abbreviations
either, unless they have become words onto themselves and listed as such
in most dictionaries (e.g.:  limo, auto).  Remember: no letter can be
used more than once.
            

Puzzle #2:


I'm looking for an 11-letter word:

Letters 11-8-5-1 spell part of a plant.
Letters 4-7-3 spell something you wear.
Letters 6-9-10-2 spell a mineral.
