Bishop's Square

The "Bishop's Square" puzzle is similar in concept to the famous "Rubik's Cube" puzzle. However, instead of rotating the sections of a three dimensional cube, you "rotate" the sections of a two dimensional image by sliding them up, down, left, and right, in a "wrap-around" manner. The original version of the "Bishop's Square" puzzle was written for the Apple-II computer by Bob Bishop, and was published circa 1980 by a company called DataSoft. (See the image to the right.)
