Source Listing 2005 January Bob Bishop Screen Shot
Want to incorporate your own bitmap images into your SiMPLE programs? With this "plotbmp" task, you can! Just specify the image* that you want to use (and where you want it to appear on your screen). It's that easy!

*(The "plotbmp" task works most efficiently with 16-color bitmap images.)

[To run the example program shown in the Source Listing, you will need to copy and save this 16-color woody.bmp image onto your hard drive. Or you can create a 16-color bitmap image of your own, if you prefer.]

Bitmap Image "Scruncher"
Source Listing 2005 January Bob Bishop Screen Shot
This program "scrunches" down a photographic bitmap image into a 16-color bitmap image so that the "plotbmp" task (see the above "Bitmap Image Displayer") can utilize it more efficiently.

(Click here to see some examples of scrunched images.)
(Click here for an explanation of how scrunching works.)
