SiMPLE Construction Kits

[Note: Before you can use a construction kit,
you must have SiMPLE installed on your computer.]

Instructions

Before you install a construction kit you should first prepare the project that will receive the kit:
  1. Start SiMPLE and then "GO" to the project (or create a new one) into which you wish to install the kit.

  2. Then, simply type: 
             ZAP $
    on the command line.  (This will clear SiMPLE's internet buffer area for your new construction kit.)

You are now ready to download the kit.
 

Downloading The Construction Kit

After you have selected the construction kit you want to download:
  1. A "File Download" dialog box will appear.  (The item "Save this program to disk" should already be checked.)  Click the "OK" button.

  2. A new "Save As" dialog box will now appear.  The will display a default location for downloading the construction kit.  You may change this location if you wish.  (Be sure to make a note of where the file is going.)  When you are ready, click on the "Save" button.

  3. After the download process is complete, close any dialog boxes that may still appear on your screen.

    [At this point, it is no longer necessary to remain connected to the internet. If your internet provider allows you only a limited numbers of hours of connect time, you can now close all your browser's windows and log off if you want to.]

  4. Locate the file you just downloaded.  (You did remember to make a note of where it went, didn't you?)  Double click on the file, and the WinZip self-extractor box will appear.  Simply click the "Unzip" button in the upper right-hand corner of the box.  If SiMPLE is installed on your C: drive, do not change any of the default settings. Otherwise, change only the drive letter (C:) to match the drive letter containing SiMPLE.

  5. After several seconds, a dialog box should appear saying how many files were unzipped.  Click the "OK" button to close this box.

  6. Finally, click the "Close" button on the self-extractor dialog box.

You are now ready to "IMPORT" the construction kit into the project that you have previously prepared.
 

Importing The Construction Kit

After you have downloaded and unzipped the kit, all you have to do is go back to the SiMPLE project you prepared and type: 
         IMPORT KIT $
on the command line.

Presto! --- You now have a new construction kit to play with!
