Creating a Shortcut to
a Pro-SiMPLE Program
Suppose you've created a Pro-SiMPLE program that you like to run frequently. (For example, let's pretend that it's the DAZZLER program that you typed in when you read the Micro-SiMPLE Tutorial.) So, everytime you want to run that program, you first double-click the SiMPLE icon on your desktop to startup SiMPLE, type GO PLAYPEN on the command line to get into the PLAYPEN project (if you're not already there), and then finally type DAZZLER to execute the DAZZLER program.
But there's a much easier way. Just create a desktop shortcut to your program.
To create a shortcut to a Pro-SiMPLE program (let's continue using DAZZLER as our example), just right-click on your desktop, select "New ..." and then "Shortcut" from the pop-up menus. When the "Create Shortcut" dialog box appears, type:
\SIMPLE\PROJECT\DOS\PLAYPEN\DAZZLER.EXE
as the location of the item you want to create a shortcut to. (Or you can simply "browse" there, if you prefer.) Then choose a name and an icon, and you're all done!
