Creating a Shortcut to
an Ultra-SiMPLE Program
Suppose you've created an Ultra-SiMPLE program that you like to run frequently. (For example, let's pretend that it's the BLOCKS program in the SAMPLES project. So, everytime you want to run that program, you first double-click the SiMPLE icon on your desktop to startup SiMPLE, type ULTRA on the command line followed by GO SAMPLES to get into the SAMPLES project (if you're not already there), and then finally type BLOCKS to execute the BLOCKS program.
But there's a much easier way. Just create a desktop shortcut to your program.
To create a shortcut to an Ultra-SiMPLE program (let's continue using BLOCKS as our example), just right-click on your desktop, select "New ..." and then "Shortcut" from the pop-up menus. When the "Create Shortcut" dialog box appears, type:
\SIMPLE\PROJECT\WIN\SAMPLES\BLOCKS.EXE
as the location of the item you want to create a shortcut to. (Or you can simply "browse" there, if you prefer.) Then choose a name and an icon, and you're all done!
