The SiMPLE Tutorial

("The Fun and Easy Way to Become a Programmer")

Notice:

This tutorial is intended for use with our older (obsolete)
version of SiMPLE. If you are using the newer (standard)
version of SiMPLE (the one that works with either 32-bit
or 64-bit computers), then you should:

As you probably already know, SiMPLE comes in two different "flavors": Pro-SiMPLE (which runs in the DOS environment), and Ultra-SiMPLE (which runs in the Windows environment). Furthermore, each of these "flavors" can be used in either of two modes: "Command-line" mode (in which you issue all commands by typing them in), or "Drag & Drop" mode (in which you simply drag icons around).

In this 9-part tutorial, we will focus on using Ultra-SiMPLE in the more popular (and more fun ) "Drag & Drop" mode of operation. (SiMPLE's built-in tutorials focus on using Pro-SiMPLE in its more esoteric "Command-line" mode of operation.)

This tutorial assumes that you have already instal-
led your FREE copy of SiMPLE (version 4.0 or later).
If you have not yet done so, click here to download it.

There is no need to hurry through the tutorial. Just take your time and have fun. And if you have any questions, feel free to use our online forums.

Note: Ultra-SiMPLE work best when your display is set to at least 16 bits/pixel.
If your display is currently set to a lesser mode you should change it.
(See your Windows documentation for instructions.)
